Deezer integration
Hi,
First off kudos for Minimserver - fantastic server and has improved my sound system significantly.
My setup is as follows:
Synology NAS - wired -> Oppo 103 player -> DAC. I use Oppo Media Player to play all my musi filesc and internet radio via Minimserver.
I want to add Deezer radio channels into my m3u file but cant find how.
Is there anyway i can play Deezer through Minimserver/MinimStreamer?
Thanks
Foobar

RE: Deezer integration
This would require the user to obtain an HTTP URL for the Deezer radio stream and I don't think Deezer provides any way to do this.

Thanks @simoncn.
I was afraid this may be so. Is there any way i can play Deezer on my ipad but send the audio streams via mediaserver - heard there is a way in Android via Bubbleupnp but i am looking a solution through my iPhone or Ipad.
Or is there a way through Jriver which works nicely with Deezer for it to use Minimserver or my Oppo through DLN (integrations similar to Tidal/Spotify)

RE: Deezer integration
The BubbleUPnP Android app has native support for certain online music streaming & cloud services, but Deezer is not one of them - don't know where you got your information from. If you use BubbleUPnP with a rooted Android device, you can get its Audio Cast feature to stream from most sound producing apps for Android, so you could probably get Deezer's audio that way.
The iDevices only support audio capture streaming via AirPlay, which unfortunately your Oppo doesn't support. Also, even though the Windows version of JRiver comes with audio input driver which you can use to pass the computer's audio through to JRiver's player, unfortunately there's no way you can stream that output via UPnP/DLNA.
If it's a Windows computer, then there are ways of capturing the computer's audio (so including that from accessing Deezer) and streaming it to a UPnP/DLNA supporting player, like your Oppo, for free. For example (in low to high order of complexity, eficiency & customisation):
Stream What You Hear (SWYH);
VB-Audio Cable plus the foobar2000 audio file player with the foo_record and the foo_out_upnp or foo_upnp plugins;
VB-Audio Cable plus the Icecast 2 server and the AltaCast Icecast client.
You can even get MinimServer to provide the stream as an internet radio station, though in the first two methods there's a built-in UPnP/DLNA media server available for the stream anyway.

RE: Deezer integration
@Cebolla thanks heaps. Yeah i read about Audio Cast but will go the Windows route as i have a spare laptop lying around.
Would SWYH or Foobar provide gapless/bitstream type streams (for good quality streaming)?

RE: Deezer integration
They are all audio capture methods, so as long as the source is playing gaplesslesly (eg the Deezer app), the audio capture stream will be gapless. Both SWYH & the foobar2000 methods can output the captured audio as a WAV file (ie lossless) stream. Icecast can stream lossless Ogg FLAC.

RE: Deezer integration
Thanks again. Had SWYH installed and it works fine. I will see how to output in WAV format for lossless stream.
